Lovely summers day ride

Nothing really exciting or technical, just a really pleasant ride through the fields. I rode on a sunny July day past fields of corn with the smell of strawberries being harvested all around. The sections on the main road are not too pleaseant but over quickly. Avoid riding after a wet spell - I can imagine it would be a real pig.

Great route. Rode it on Sunday (09-03-08). Only one problem, there's a section to the South where the bridal path just stops. I got stuck in a field and had to walk all the way round to get onto the road. Avoid this section, get on the road before just before the path ends. The field I walked around is surrounded by thorns! I got 16, yes 16 punctures and only had 12 patches on me! Had to walk back to the train station in Driffield. I'm going tubeless next time!
Mud, glorious mud

Just rode part of this a few days ago, and it was pretty damn muddy as the recent rain had saturated the ground. It was rideable, if not actaully pleasant riding. Still, the long unbroken bit of BW from nr Millington to Tibthorpe is worth a go, as there's not many places you can ride for 9 miles offroad in one go.
