Rode this on 8th May 2008 in brilliant sunshine with great views but if it's the riding experience you are after this route is probably best left for when you need a dry route as there is a lot of gravel track. Couldn't find the bridleway at 578 998 so stayed on the gravel track which diverges from the bridleway and meant I struggled a bit to find the way down to Tripsdale, best to keep on the main track and turn left at 577 991. Good technical downhills into Bransdale and Farndale.
